Premier League club Burnley FC have completed the signing of Frederic Nimani on loan from Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco till the end of the season. The Clarets also have the option to make Nimani’s transfer permanent by paying Monaco a fee close to the 4 million euro mark.
Nimani, a Monaco youth product, caught the eye of observers when he scored on his senior debut against Auxerre in September 2006. He has also had short stints on loan with Lorient and Sedan in his native France. Celtic and Birmingham City were also interested in securing the tall striker’s services last summer.
Nimani has been capped six times by France at U-21 level. He becomes new Burnley boss Brian Laws’ first signing at Turf Moor.
Burnley are currently fifteenth in the league with twenty one points from twenty games.
