(GSM) – Atletico Madrid and Sporting Lisbon held each other to a goalless draw in the UEFA Europa League round of sixteen.

The Spanish outfit, which is trying to recover from a very poor season start, failed to take advantage of Sporting losing two players to red cards.

The Argentinian Leandro Grimi was handed a second yellow card in the 31st minute and teammate Tonel conceded a direct red card late on.

The tie will be decided in the Portuguese capital next week, as Atletico need only one away goal to force their opponents to score at least two.
