Serie A outfit Fiorentina have confirmed the signing of Slovenian youngster Nino Kukovec from Maribor.
The deal was announced via the club’s official website, with the 16-year-old joining on a loan-deal, while an obligatory buy-out clause will be activated in two years.
“ACF Fiorentina have announced the signing of 16-year-old Slovenian striker Nino Kukovec from Maribor,” a statement on the club’s website confirmed today.
“Kukovec joins on a two-year loan deal with an obligation to make the deal permanent. Born on 6 May 2001, Kukovec has made one appearance for the Slovenian Under-17 side
“He will join up with the Fiorentina Primavera squad.”
Kukovec will initially be added to the club’s Primavera squad, where he will have the chance to prove his worth and earn promotion to the senior set-up.
The forward made 6 appearances for Maribor in UEFA Youth League, while making two outings for the Slovenia Under-17 side.
