Celtic defensive midfielder Nir Bitton is considering leaving in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Record. Bitton, who can also operate as a central defender, is considering returning to his native Israel this summer.
The Hoops who are on the verge of winning the Scottish Premiership title this season, have the option of activating another year on Bitton’s current deal. The 30-year-old Israel international has interest from Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Haifa.
During his time at Celtic so far, Bitton has won the Scottish Premiership title seven times, the Scottish Cup on four occasions, and the Scottish League Cup as many as six times. The midfielder has made 11 starts and 12 substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for the Hoops this campaign, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.
