Eddie Nketiah insists he is only thinking at the moment about helping Arsenal achieve a top-four finish this season and book a place in the Champions League for the next, rather than about his future.
The Gunners sit a point ahead neighbours and archrivals Tottenham Hotspur in the race for the fourth place, with a game in hand as they prepare to welcome relegation battlers Leeds United at the Emirates on Sunday. After that, they will face Spurs in the North London Derby which could potentially prove decisive, before traveling to Newcastle and hosting Everton. Wins against Leeds and in the Derby would settle the matter fully, regardless of the final two matches.
“My future is going to be sorted out in the near future,” Nketiah told Sky Sports. “I can put that to one side as we’ve only got four games left. I can give my all to the team and help us achieve our goals. Then I’ll sit down and see what’s best.”
