Cameroonian defender Nicolas N’Koulou has hinted that he could leave Stade Velodrome at the end of the current campaign.
The 22-year-old has developed into one of world’s top defenders since joining the club from Monaco and has seen his name linked with a host of high-profile clubs.
N’Koulou has now dropped the biggest hint yet that he is looking to leave OM in the summer transfer window.
“I want to finish the season strongly and then we will talk about my position,” the stopper was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
“I love Marseille, they have been great to me. I am happy if everyone is a winner.”
Arsenal are believed to be lining up a summer bid for N’Koulou, but other European giants are also keen.
The talented defender began his career at Monaco and made a total of 88 Ligue 1 appearances for the club before moving to Marseille in the summer of 2011.
N’Koulou has been in scintillating form ever since he arrived at Stade Velodrome, featuring in 58 league matches for OM.
Despite his fragile age, the centre-back already boasts a considerable experience of playing at the highest level and is bound to be one of the most sought-after players in the summer transfer window.
