No Barcelona offer for Griezmann

“We’ve always said it, we’ve never spoken to him. There’s nothing”.

Those are the words of Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu, who has continued to reiterate that no offer has been made for Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann. The Frenchman, who helped to lead his nation to World Cup glory last summer, has made it known that he is going to be leaving Atletico during the summer transfer window. The expectation has always been that he would be making the jump over to Barcelona, as he has been linked with the Spanish club for a long time. However, while that still seems likely to happen, it isn’t as much of a guarantee as it once was.

Barcelona are said to be weighing up their options in a big way, to the point where they still haven’t come to an official decision regarding whether they want to make a formal bid or not.
