(GSM) – Sir Alex Ferguson has ruled out any hopes of a return for David Beckham to Manchester United.

Beckham is eying a return to Europe in order to force his way back to the England squad. But the 35-year-old has maintained that he will not return to his homeland unless to play at Old Trafford.

Beckham, who has already expressed his desire to make a short-term loan spell in Europe, is wanted by a host of clubs including Everton and Sven-Goran Eriksson’s Leicester City.

With Beckham making it known that he will not playing for another English team, Ferguson has come out to banish the hopes of the United legend for a return to the club.

Ferguson said: “I don’t think so with David at his age,” Ferguson said. “I have never signed a player at that age have I?”
