Nicklas Bendtner’s father has denied a report suggesting that the European giants Arsenal FC’s star has agreed a three-year contract extension at the Emirates.
It had been claimed that the Denmark international had committed his long-term future to the Gunners on a £50,000-a-week deal.
However, the striker’s father has denied anything has been rubberstamped, although he has confirmed talks are on going.
“Under no circumstances that’s correct, but it sounds exciting,” said Thomas Bendtner told Sporten.dk.
“I could try call Arsene Wenger to see they’ve done a deal without me, but I can’t imagine that would happen.
“Your guess is as good as mine,” he said when asked where the story had come from.
“We’re negotiating and it’s so far so good.”
