“No chance” for Odegaard stay at Arsenal

According to a recent report from Marca, Arsenal have no chance of signing on-loan Real Madrid star Martin Odegaard on a permanent deal.

It’s become clear to many that Odegaard has been one of the primary shining lights for the Gunners since arriving at the Emirates. He’s been able to quickly and efficiently get into a nice rhythm in North London, to the point where he is seen as one of Arsenal’s main men heading into the final stretch of the season.

Alas, if he ends up leaving, that could leave quite a significant hole in Arsenal’s first team.

Zinedine Zidane is no fool and he’ll understand the potential Odegaard has. At the same time, there’s a decent chance he won’t be able to embed him into the Real squad in the way he’d like.

At that point it just comes down to whether or not Arsenal could afford to sign him.
