According to a recent report from Daily Mirror, Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has played down the idea that they are trying to sign Reiss Nelson.
The 20-year-old seems to be on the outside looking in at Arsenal right now as the Gunners continue to try and make a sustained push for a place in the top four of the Premier League this season. Mikel Arteta has an incredibly stacked squad at his disposal and as such, the expectation is that we will see plenty of outgoings at the Emirates before the transfer window officially closes.
The proposal of Nelson going to Palace would see him make the move on a loan basis, which makes sense, given that he’s still viewed as a player with real potential by many at Arsenal.
Palace, on the other hand, are clearly trying to push in the direction of some kind of youth movement.
