No Liverpool approach for Thiago?

According to a recent report from Bild, Liverpool are yet to make an official approach for Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara.

Despite this, however, the club’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has been in talks with the Reds through an intermediary in order to discuss the finer details of the move.

Liverpool fans have been waiting for the club to explode into life during the summer transfer window but up to this point, it hasn’t quite become a reality. The Reds are still considered by many to be the favourites to win the Premier League title this season and nothing has changed in that regard, but the general belief is that Thiago would add some serious quality to their ranks.

Whether or not he would completely reform the team remains to be seen, but if Klopp is serious about going after him, then he’ll need to start thinking about making a real offer.
