Despite recent reports claiming otherwise, Lionel Messi is NOT close to joining Inter Miami or any other club at the moment, according to Fabrizio Romano.
David Beckham’s club are indeed interested in bringing the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner to Florida and are pushing to make it happen. Paris Saint-Germain are also very keen to extend Messi’s contract, which expires at the end of the season, by another year, and it’s no big secret that Barcelona would love to have their former talisman back, having apparently sorted out the financial issues which drove him out in the first place in 2021.
However, Messi remains fully focused on his exploits with Argentina at the World Cup. He delivered in his own style by providing a goal and an assist as his team bagged a crucial victory over Mexico to keep their hopes alive after shockingly losing to Saudi Arabia.
The 35-year-old isn’t thinking about anything else at the moment and his future remains as uncertain as before.
Leo Messi has not decided his future yet. His camp guarantees that Leo is only focused on the World Cup and there’s no agreement with any club. 🚨🇦🇷 #Messi
Inter Miami want Messi and will push; but also PSG will offer Leo a new deal soon.
