No new striker for Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that the club will not be bringing in a third striker during the January transfer window.

When asked about the matter during a recent press conference, Pep gave a short and sweet answer to the question – “no”. Many have wondered whether or not he would decide to get things moving in the transfer market as a result of Sergio Aguero still being unavailable, but it doesn’t look like that’s how things are going to transpire just yet.

City have been able to creep up on the title race and once again become favourites to claim the crown this season, and against Crystal Palace, they had no issues whatsoever when it came to sticking the ball in the back of the net.

If they can carry that momentum forward without issue, then Guardiola may not even need to look for a goalscorer in the summer.
