No offer made for Filipe Luis

According to Marca, sources at Atletico Madrid have confirmed that no official offer for Filipe Luis has been made. The club have been preparing for alternatives to come into the fold if the Brazilian does indeed leave, but as it stands, there appears to have been no official approach from anyone – and that includes Paris Saint-Germain, who are said to be the front runners for his signature. In terms of alternatives, Juan Bernat has been viewed as a potential replacement.

The 33-year-old has been with Atletico for the last three years after making the jump over from Chelsea, and in that time, he’s established himself as one of the top defenders in Europe. If anyone does indeed want to try and take him away from Atletico then it’ll take a big effort in order to push the deal through, given that the summer transfer window around Europe is set to officially close this week.
