Rennes have received no offers for Eduardo Camavinga, according to club president Nicolas Holveck.
The 17-year-old is reportedly of interest to a number of clubs, including Real Madrid who are looking to add cover and a potential long-term successor for Casemiro. Camavinga, though very young, is a similar type of player. Primarily a defensive midfielder, but capable of playing in a box-to-box role too, his performances in Ligue 1 this season have shown maturity usually far beyond the grasp of a teenager. Overall, he has appeared 36 times on the pitch in all competitions, adding a goal and two assists to his fantastic defensive contribution.
Apart from Real, reports spoke of interest from the likes of Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Arsenal, but as quoted by AS, Holveck says that he doesn’t expect any club to spend big this summer due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and there haven’t been any concrete bids for Rennes to consider for Camavinga’s services. No price has been set on the player either.
