Manchester United haven’t received a single offer for Jesse Lingard, according to Sky Sports.
The 27-year-old played the full 90 minutes in United’s win over Luton in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, but he was completely left out of the matchday squad when the team suffered a disappointing home defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace in the Premier League opener three days earlier. Last season, he started only nine league games and had a long spell without a place even on the bench.
He has recently been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur where he would link up with former United boss Jose Mourinho again, but it seems no official approach has been made, by Spurs or any other club.
Lingard apparently doesn’t even want to leave Old Trafford at the moment and no offer, should any arrive, would convince him to do so. Manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer praised his performance against Luton and indicated that the player may yet have a future in his team.
