No Premier League move for me – Benfica’s Coentrão

(GSM) – Benfica’s Fábio Coentrão maintains he is happy at the Portuguese club, dismissing reports that he might be set for a move to the Premier League.

The young wing-back has produced some mesmerizing performances this season, collecting the man-of-match accolade after his team beat Olympique Lyon 4-3 in the Champions League.

The 22-year-old, who is contracted to Benfica until 2016, caught the eye at the World Cup with Milan, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool all reportedly interested in securing his services.

However,Coentrão told television station Sport TV: “I have a deal with Benfica for the next six years and my intention is to fulfil that contract.

“I have heard about the rumours about the big European clubs but at the moment, I am calm and totally focused on life with Benfica.”

Benfica reportedly value Coentrão at £27million.
