No release clause for Sancho

According to the club, there is no release clause in Jadon Sancho’s new Borussia Dortmund contract. The youngster has been turning heads in the last few years in Germany, and he finally seems to be getting the kind of recognition he deserves. In addition to playing a starring role for Dortmund this season, he’s also been called up to the England senior squad for Gareth Southgate’s latest round of fixtures.

Despite Sancho signing a new contract it’s obvious to everyone involved, including the club, that there’s substantial interest from elsewhere. It seems obvious to suggest that one day he’ll return to his roots over in England, and even if he doesn’t, there are several other options for him around Europe and beyond.

Sancho is one of the most promising youngsters to come out of Europe, and England specifically, in years, and it’ll be interesting to see if that can translate to the international stage.
