No Tottenham talks for Alderweireld

According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, as of now there have not been any formal talks between Tottenham Hotspur and Toby Alderweireld regarding the possibility of him signing a new contract extension. There has been no contact as of yet, with Jose Mourinho’s recent addition to the club as their new manager taking priority over any talks with players. However, with time running out, many are questioning whether or not Spurs are just going to allow the clock to tick down to zero. 

Alderweireld joins Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen in being out of a contract at the end of the current season, with many not being all too sure as to what direction Tottenham are going to go in next. Toby has always been viewed as a key and integral member of Tottenham’s first team squad, but there have certainly been more than a few questions raised over the manner in which he’s tried to sort out his future.
