(GSM) – Bayern Munich have not set a deadline for contract talks with Franck Ribery, according to the French winger’s agent. Reports had suggested that the player had been given until the end of March to make a last decision on his future.

Ribery’s current contract at Allianz Arena will expire in 2011. Therefore, speculation has been intensified that Ribery would leave the German outfit this summer.

Ribery is set to meet with Bayern officials before the end of the current season to discuss a possible contract extension. However, the player’s representative insists the German club has imposed no deadline on the talks.

“Franck has a contract until 2011 and so Bayern hold all the cards in their hands,” Alain Migliaccio told Bild.

“Before we meet with (Bayern’s chief executive Karl-Heinz) Rummenigge, (president Uli) Hoeness and (director of sport Christian) Nerlinger, nothing will happen.”

He added, “The story about the ultimatum is absolute nonsense, nobody has given Franck an ultimatum.

“We are waiting to see what the club wants to do.”

Ribery has been linked with a summer move to Real Madrid.
