Benfica midfielder Javi Garcia has not received any offer from Manchester United, the player’s agent has declared.
The 24-year-old has been strongly linked with a new challenge at the end of the season, with United and AC Milan both understood to be keeping a close eye on the player.
A report in the Daily Mirror on Monday claimed that Garcia’s representative was in talks with the Premier League champions with a view to a switch at the end of the season, but player agent Manuel Garcia Quillon dismissed it as rumour.
“I cannot say anything, no one has talked to me,” Quillon told TSF.
“There are no offers, just rumours.”
The 25-year-old Garcia, who has a release clause of 30 million euros, is contracted to Benfica until the end of the 2013-14 season.
