No West Ham return for Arnautovic

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, West Ham United have turned down the chance to re-sign Marko Arnautovic from Shanghai SIPG.

After forcing through a move to China, mainly due to the finances involved, Arnautovic wasn’t exactly in the Hammers’ good books – and for good reason. The reason why West Ham wouldn’t go after him seems to come down to the subject of his wages with many believing that they are simply too high.

Right now the club are actually doing perfectly well without him and it’s not unreasonable to think that there are better options out there for David Moyes to sign. Arnautovic himself may have something to say about that, but in reality, he’s the one who opted for money over success and competition.

Where he goes now is anyone’s guess but you can bet he’ll still be flirting with the idea of coming back to the Premier League.
