West Ham are yet to secure their Premier League status, but midfielder Mark Noble already has lofty ambitions for the team next season.
The east London club are 17th in the table, clear of the relegation zone on goal difference only. But they have enjoyed an upturn in fortunes in the past two months, winning three and drawing two of their past six league matches. And Noble now has his sights set on emulating London rivals Tottenham, who qualified for the Champions League last season. “If we can keep bringing in players like we have done recently, do some more good business in the transfer windows with the foundations we have, the fans we have and the club how it is, there is no reason why we can’t do what Tottenham are doing,” Noble said.”I would be the first to say that things haven’t been going well for the last few years here but in the last month we have done a lot of stuff together.””We’ve been on days out, been to Portugal for training and we have come together as a team and a club.””When you bring in good players, this is what you get.””When the recruitment system is good – as it is here – then you get quality players.”West Ham have nine games left to guarantee their place in the top flight next season. They are at home to league leaders Manchester United on Saturday.
