Bolton Wanderers midfielder Kevin Nolan admits he is delighted to see his former boss Big Sam Allardyce back in work at Blackburn.
The Trotters ace expects to be linked with a January move to Rovers.
“I’m delighted to see Sam back in football,” said Nolan.
“He gave me my debut and obviously I hold a special thoughts for him. I’m delighted to see such a great figure back in the game.
“He deserves it, what happened to him at Newcastle was very unfair, even if I can’t believe he’s gone to Rovers.
“And I’m sure I’ll be linked with a move to join him in January.
“But Gary Megson is getting the foundations ready here and that’s what the last year has been all about for him.
“He has a plan for the next five or six years and, although I don’t want to tell you too much, it’s about stabilising the team.
“It’s about getting back into the top 10, then the top eight the year after that and then going back into Europe the year after that. That’s what we’re aiming for.”
