Darrel Hales, a non-league goalkeeper, was recently turned into a striker. “Darrel the Barrel”, as he is affectionately nicknamed, marked his first game in a new position with a hat-trick.
A tattoo artist by profession, he once jokingly said he had heard Chelsea were looking for a “big, strong striker capable of scoring”, and he was waiting for their call.
