Norwich 10/11 to beat Nottingham Forest in Boxing Day’s Championship showdown

Competition: Championship

Market: Norwich win

Odds: 10/11 @ Bet 365

Desperate to keep pace with Leeds at the top of the Championship table, Norwich will welcome Nottingham Forest to Carrow Road on Boxing Day afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, picking up a last-gasp winner away at Blackburn on Saturday, few would have expected Norwich’s rise under
Daniel Farke. Now enjoying an eight-match unbeaten run and sat just a single point adrift of Leeds at the head of the table, it will be thier form at Carrow Road most impressing the former Borussia Dortmund coach. With leading goalscorer Teemu Puki once again finding the net at Ewood Park over the weekend and improving his tally to 13 goals this season, the Canneries have won their last five consecutive matches on home soil. Even more eye-catching, Norwich have scored 10 in their last three.

As for the visitors, while a bright start to the season saw many tipping Nottingham Forest as a leading contender in the playoff race, Aitor Karanka’s side appear to have hit a rough patch. Putting in a lackluster showing in their 1-0 loss to QPR on Saturday, the Reds are now without a win in their last three and have just one victory on the road since the end of October. Now failing to record a single Championship goal in over 300 minutes of football, Forest have fallen out of the top-six and now sit three points adrift of Sheffield United.
