Competition: Championship
Market: Norwich win
Odds: 15/8 @ Bet 365
Desperate to get back to winning ways entering 2019, Norwich will travel to Griffin Park on Tuesday afternoon.
Starting with Tuesday’s hosts, while Brentford may have done well to pick up a point at St. Andrew’s on Saturday, it doesn’t cover what has been a very worrying run of form entering 2019. Aside from a 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Brentford a fortnight ago, the Bees have failed to win any of their other eight Championship appearances. Along with slumping to a 1-0 loss the last time they faced Norwich back in October, their form at Griffin Park has also left a lot to the imagination. Thomas Frank’s side have now lost three of their last four matches in the capital.
As for the visitors, after suffering some last-gasp heartbreak in their 4-3 loss at home to Derby last weekend, there is no doubt that Daniel Farke will be calling for an immediate response from his Norwich side. Although the Canneries may have seen their nine-match unbeaten run come to an end over the weekend, the visitors are tipped by many to secure a return to the Premier League. One man to watch for Farke’s side will be leading goalscorer Teemu Pukki. Scoring a brace against Derby on Saturday, the Finland international has 15 for the season and sits joint top of the Championship’s goalscoring charts.
