Norwich 6/5 to beat Brentford in Saturdays Championship showdown

Competition: Championship

Market: Norwich win

Odds: 6/5 @ Bet 365

Transforming into one of the leading contenders for a playoff push, Norwich will welcome a struggling Brentford side to Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with Saturday’s hosts, although they couldn’t secure a top half finish last season, it has been a very bright for Norwich under former Borrusia Dortmund coach Daniel Farke. Coming off the back of battling back to take three points off of Aston Villa over the weekend, the Canneries also became the first team to beat Nottingham Forest after the international break. One man to thank for their recent rise up the Championship table is former Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes. The 28-year-old scored both against the Villans on Saturday and now has seven for the season.

As for the visitors, after partying ways with newly announced Aston Villa boss Dean Smith earlier in the month, Brentford have been drastically short of form and begun freefalling down the Championship table. Coming off the back of shipping four against Preston over the weekend, the Bees have now failed to record a league win since the 15th of September. Now sliding down to 15th in the table, Brentford are also yet to record a single win on their travels this year.
