Norwich 7/10 to beat Nottingham Forest in Wednesday’s Championship contest

Competition: Championship

Market: Norwich win

Odds: 7/10 @ 888sport

In a showdown between two sides who find themselves battling it out at opposite ends of the Championship table, Norwich vs Nottingham Forest will take place at Carrow Road on Wednesday night.

Starting with the hosts, managing to mount a late comeback against Sheffield Wednesday over the weekend and eventually leaving Carrow Road with a dramatic 2-1 win to show for their efforts, Norwich will be desperate to build off of that result. Looking to fully bounce back from their shock defeat away at Championship returners Luton last week, the East Anglia outfit open the midweek fixtures still holding a one-point buffer at the top of the table. Still seen as one of the leading contenders to book an immediate Premier League return at the first attempt, Head Coach Daniel Farke will be most impressed by his side’s continued rugged displays on home soil. Including that victory over the Owls on Saturday afternoon, Norwich are unbeaten in each of their last six Championship contests at Carrow Road.

As for the visitors, while Norwich find themselves battling it out at the top of the Championship table, Nottingham Forest find themselves in a completely different position. While the Reds might have brought in former Brighton boss Chris Hughton back in October, they have drastically struggled to find their feet and hold just a two-point buffer from slipping into the drop zone. Last seen over the weekend getting hit with a deserved 2-0 defeat away at Reading, Forest have failed to win any of their last five second-tier contests on the bounce, collecting just a single point on that torrid run of form. Only continuing to show a host of issues in the final third and remarkably failing to record a single strike over the past month, we’re backing what should be a routine home victory on Wednesday night.
