Everton fans burst onto the pitch at Goodison Park as their team secured Premier League survival by beating Crystal Palace on Thursday, leading to heavy abuse being aimed at the Palace players as well as manager Patrick Vieira.
And while the former Arsenal captain refused to comment on a moment where he lashed out at a taunting Everton fan, Norwich City manager Dean Smith and Newcastle’s Eddie Howe have spoken up against such behaviour from the crowds in stadiums.
