Norwich City have joined the race to sign Liverpool forward Rickie Lambert, according to the Mirror.
With Christian Benteke expected to complete his switch from Aston Villa to Anfield on Tuesday, the England international has been deemed surplus to requirements and is set for an imminent move away from Merseyside.
Lambert only moved to his hometown club twelve months ago, though he has failed to hold down a regular first team place in Brendan Rodgers’ side.
The thirty-three year old made twenty-five Premier League appearances for the Reds last season, though only seven of those came from the start and he scored just two goals, while he won the last of his eleven England caps in a 1-0 Euro 2016 qualification victory over Estonia back in October.
West Bromwich Albion are also keen on signing the former Southampton man, while Aston Villa and Bournemouth have also thrown their hat into the ring.
