Norwich close in on Gilmour

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Norwich are set to complete the loan signing of Billy Gilmour in the next few days.

The Scottish midfielder has agreed to join the new Premier League side for the upcoming season and will take part in a medical later this week, once his self-isolation period following a positive COVID-19 test is complete.

Gilmour is viewed by many as one of the most exciting young players to come through Chelsea’s ranks for quite some time, but Thomas Tuchel doesn’t appear to have any plans for him in the first team – for this season, at least.

A loan spell with a fellow Premier League club is always going to ensure there are plenty of Chelsea eyes on what Gilmour does this season, and while the focus may be on his Chelsea future, Norwich City supporters will be licking their lips at the prospect of him thriving with their club.
