Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf has learned that Norwich are set to launch an assault on Ajax defender Toby Alderweireld.
With the Dutch giants having signed Mike van der Hoorn from Utrecht, it is perfectly clear Alderweireld will be leaving the club this summer.
The Belgian international has just one year left on his deal at Amsterdam ArenA and this is the last opportunity for his current employers to cash in on him.
Alderweireld has been linked with a number of high-profile clubs in the past, including Roma and Tottenham, but Ajax have yet to receive a concrete offer for his services.
According to De Telegraaf, Norwich are looking to take advantage of the situation and lure the player to Carrow Road this summer.
The Canaries have already signed striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel from Sporting Lisbon, while they are also showing interest in Eredivisie stars Ola Toivonen and Leroy Fer.
