Norwich have another Hooper bid rejected

TalkSPORT is today reporting that Norwich City have had a third bid rejected for Celtic’s Gary Hooper and they must offer around £8 million to secure his services in this January transfer window.

The Canaries’ boss, Chris Hughton, is desperate to add a striker to his squad in the closing days of this window and Hooper seems to have been target for a while now.

However, Hughton must now sit with members of the board and see if the striker is worth splashing the cash on. Goals win you games and Hooper’s ability to put the ball in the back of the net might be what keeps Norwich in the English Premier League this campaign.

Also, a lot depends on whether the player himself wants to move as the Bhoys are of course in the final 16 of the Champions League and he might not ever get a chance to play in a game like that again.

With just a couple of days to go in the window, it does look as though Hooper will be staying at Celtic Park.

We have seen some late drama in January before though, so until the window slams shut, you can’t be sure of anything.
