Competition: Premier League
Market: Chris Hughton next manager to leave
Odds: 4/6 @ Betfair

Following Norwich’s back-to-back thrashings away from home in the space of just two weeks, manager Chris Hughton finds his position under threat once more. His failure to stem the run of bad results is beginning to make up the Norwich hierarchy’s mind about calling time on his future at the Canaries, and Betfair are giving odds of 4/6 for the 55-year old to be the next Premier League manager out the door.

His Norwich side have won just the once in their last eight games, and as a result now find themselves heavily embroiled in a relegation battle. After being afforded a considerable amount to spend on new players in the summer, little progress has been made with the side and that could well see the axe fall on the ex-Newcastle boss.

City are currently four points clear of the drop, but 18th-placed Sunderland have two games in hand, which could see them overtake Norwich should they win them both – not to mention Hughton’s side having played more games than the immediate sides around them.

But as the season nears its completion, the board will start to worry if Norwich continue their descent at the worst possible time of the campaign. Will Chris Hughton survive the axe?
