Norwich City are now one winless game from seeing their relegation from the Premier League become a mathematical certainty, and as is always the case with teams in that situation, they are expected to lose several of their top performers. One of the players who have attracted interest is defender Ben Godfrey.
Playing primarily as a centre-back, the talented 22-year-old is also capable of stepping into the defensive midfield role if need be. This season, he has so far played in 29 matches in all competitions. He has also been capped three times as an England U-21 international, and at Norwich they are convinced he will become a senior member of the national team at some point in the future.
Godfrey could continue his development in Germany, with Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig believed to be among the clubs interested in his services, but Sky Sports claim that with three years still on his contract, the Canaries have no intention of selling him below their asking price of £50 million.
