Arsenal are sweating over the future of captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. His contract expires in 12 months, and they are yet to agree on an extension, while a host of potential suitors sneak around with a view of snatching the prolific striker.
The Gunners are reportedly set to hold talks with both Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette to discuss their plans for the future under head coach Mikel Arteta, but for now, Aubameyang says that nothing is decided regarding his own situation.
Speaking to Telefoot (via Sky Sports), the forward, who turns 31 in a few days, said that though there have been some ‘exchanges’ with the club over the last few months, he is yet to receive an official offer for a new contract. The club hold the key, they have to do their job first, says Aubameyang, and then he will see what he wants to do. Until then, nothing is decided.
Aubameyang has mostly been linked with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan.
