Nottingham Forest 3/4 to beat Barnsley in Saturday’s Championship contest

Competition: Championship

Market: Nottingham Forest win

Odds: 3/4 @ Bet 365

Continuing on what has been on a real purple patch, Nottingham Forest will welcome a struggling Barnsley to the City Ground on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, returning from the international break and bagging a 1-0 win over title contenders Swansea last weekend, Nottingham Forest have really started to shine under new boss Sabri Lamouchi. Also booking their spot in the third round of this year’s League Cup thanks to a 3-0 romp over Derby last month, fans around the City Ground have seen their side enjoy an eight-match unbeaten run that stems all the way back to the opening weekend. With their sights firmly set on securing a spot in the top-six come May, City should be confident of extending their winning run on Saturday afternoon.

As for the visitors, suffering a 2-0 loss against Leeds after returning from the international break, Barnsley have continued on a worrying return to the second-tier. With just a single Championship victory to their name since returning over the summer, the Reds are in the midst of a seven-match unbeaten run that stems back to the opening weekend. Also now losing three of their last four appearances, Head Coach Daniel Stendel will be most concerned by his sides form in the final third. Bagging just four goals so far, Barnsley have also scored just a single goal in their last four outings.
