Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Maxwel Cornet from Burnley in the summer transfer window, according to The Times. The report has claimed that Forest, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning promotion from the Championship, have made an offer for Cornet which is below his £17.5 million buy-out clause.
The Times have added that Everton are also interested in Cornet and have made a loan offer. Burnley, who will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League, have turned it down, as they want to sell the 25-year-old only for cash.
Cornet made 21 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Burnley last season. The Ivory Coast international, who can play as a winger, forward or full-back, scored nine goals and gave one assist in those matches.
