Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday are among the clubs interested in signing Jacob Murphy from Newcastle United in the summer transfer window, according to The Glasgow Evening Times. Bournemouth, who are playing in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League, are also expressed interest in the 25-year-old.
However, according to the report, the former Norwich City winger is interested in a move to Rangers in the Scottish Premiership. The Gers themselves want to secure the services of the winger on a loan deal, but Newcastle want the 25-year-old to stay at St. James’ Park this season and fight for his place.
Murphy joined Newcastle from Norwich in the summer of 2017. Much was expected of the winger when he arrived at St. James’ Park, but the winger has failed to make a huge impact at the Magpies, and had been out on loan at West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield Wednesday in recent years.
