Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Nuno Tavares from Premier League rivals Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Italian journalist has reported on Twitter that Forest have made a formal bid to the Gunners to bring Tavares to the City Ground on a permanent deal.
Tavares has been on the books of Arsenal since 2021 when he joined from Benfica. The 23-year-old Portuguese left-back spent last season on loan at Marseille in Ligue 1. Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchenko are the other two senior left-backs on the books of Arsenal at the moment.

During his loan spell at Marseille last season, Tavares made 23 starts and eight substitute appearances in Ligue. The left-back scored six goals in those games. The left-back also played six times in the UEFA Champions League last season. Tavares has made 22 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career, scoring one goal, providing one assist, and keeping three clean sheets in the process.
