Former Sampdoria coach Walter Novellino still believes AC Milan can win the Scudetto this season.
The Rossoneri have had a very poor start to their season, after losing both of their opening games this season.
AC Milan was tipped by many to win the Scudetto this season, after several big signings this summer.
Novellino said: “Carlo Ancelotti is going through a bad time, but his fortune is that he has the unconditional support of the club.
“I am sure that as soon as Carlo can count on the full availability of his players, he will improve the team.
“Before the championship, Milan were among the main favourites to win the Scudetto and that should stay the same, despite these two bad performances.
“To be more competitive, however, Milan might have to rejuvenate the defence.”
