According to a recent report from Bild, Schalke goalkeeper Alexander Nubel has decided that he will join German giants Bayern Munich during next year’s summer transfer window when his current contract expires. The youngster has firmly established himself as one of the most exciting goalkeepers in the top leagues across Europe over the last few months, and while some feel as if he’s still got a long way to go, he’s certainly making the right kind of strides towards getting to that point.
Bayern are riding high at the top of their game both domestically and in Europe right now, but as we look ahead to the near future, Nubel could be the kind of franchise goalkeeper they’re looking for to take over from Manuel Neuer as the main man at the club.
This comes after some fans have called for a change as Bayern’s search for European and league glory continues.
