Nugent pens new Leicester deal

Leicester City striker David Nugent has signed a new two year contract with the club, according to the Mail Online.

The 29 year old has been with the East Midlands side for years, during which time he has notched up almost one hundred and fifty appearances in all competitions, scoring fifty-four times.

Twenty of those goals came in the league last season, a tally which helped fire the Foxes to the Championship title and now he will have once again have the opportunity to play at the highest level of English football.

Nugent made thirty-four Premier League appearances for Portsmouth in three years, while he also spent the 2009/10 season in the top flight on loan with Burnley.

Internationally, he is one of only a small number of players to score on his one and only appearance for England; a 3-0 win over Andorra in the qualifiers for Euro 2008.
