Olivier Giroud has been part of the transfer rumour mills ever since last summer, when it slowly starting to become obvious he would not be the first choice striker at Frank Lampard’s new-look Chelsea side. Those rumours truly intensified this past January, when the Frenchman really wanted to make a move away from Stamford Bridge, in order to get enough playing minutes.
That way he would have the chance of being part of the France national team at EURO 2020. But that did not happen in the end and considering that he is in his final months of the contract with the Blues, Giroud can now look at other clubs and make a lucrative move as a free agent.
And three clubs want to make the most out of that and get themselves the 33-year-old striker. Lazio, Crystal Palace and Borussia Dortmund are all reportedly interested in signing Giroud this summer, according to Calciomercato.
