“He’s integrating into the dynamic of the team,” he said. “It’s not easy to be already where we expect him to be. It takes time but the best thing is he’s on to it, he wants it, he works hard. We’re expecting good things from him.”
Those are the words of Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo, who has confirmed that Patrick Cutrone isn’t quite where he wants him to be at this stage of his Wolves career – but is hopeful that he can turn it around. The Italian star has been unable to fully adapt to the club just yet, with the belief from some fans being that his style just doesn’t suit the way in which Wolves play.
Regardless of what the issue may be, Cutrone needs to find a way to turn things around, or else Jota and Jimenez will continue to be viewed as the main priorities within the club’s attacking line-up, which could lead to him looking elsewhere.
