Nuno Tavares wants to go back to Marseille in the final days of the January transfer window, according to RMC Sport. The report in the French news outlet has claimed that Marseille want to sign the Arsenal-owned full-back, who himself is eager to make the move.
Tavares is on loan at Nottingham Forest at the moment. The Portuguese left-back moved to Forest from Premier League rivals Arsenal in the summer of 2023. He is struggling for playing time at the City Ground. The 23-year-old has made two starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Forest this season.
The left-back had a loan spell at Marseille in 2022-23. Tavares made 23 starts and eight substitute appearances in Ligue 1, scoring six goals in the process. He also played six times in the UEFA Champions League for Marseille last season. Arsenal are aiming to win the Premier League table this season, while Forest are fighting for survival in the top flight of English football.
