October 30th: Wednesday’s Serie A Double – 5/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

With it looking like we have a heavyweight Serie A title chase this season, we have a stacked midweek schedule from across Italy’s elite.

As the likes of defending champions Inter Milan steal centre stage on Wednesday night, we have a quartet of eye-catching affairs.

For those of you looking to stick on a midweek flutter, we have taken a look at some of the most appealing Serie A betting tips that are available on Wednesday night.

19:45 Atalanta vs Monza

While Atalanta might have endured a stuttering start when opening up the new campaign, La Dea have come roaring back in a sensational fashion. Laying down another marker over the weekend as they stormed their way to a 6-1 romp at home against Verona, the Bergamo-based outfit are riding what has become a major wave of momentum. Making real history back in May as they got their hands on a maiden piece of European silverware, Wednesday’s hosts will simply be looking to make another Serie A statement here. Heading into October’s international break with a 5-1 victory against Genoa, Atalanta have now collected 13 points from just their previous five appearances across all competitions. With their sights firmly set on clinching a top-four ticket this season, La Dea have gained a real reputation for their clinical performances in the final third. In fact, the reigning Europa League champions have notched 24 goals in their first nine Serie A appearances.

Although Monza might have marked their return from October’s international break with a crucial 3-0 romp away at Verona, Wednesday’s guests have drastically struggled to find any kind of fluidity since opening up the new campaign. Missing out on what they had billed as a real opportunity last weekend as they eventually had to settle for a 2-2 stalemate at home against Venezia, Alessandro Nesta’s side have collected just a single victory from any of their first nine Serie A appearances. At the heart of an early relegation scrap and holding just a two-point buffer from slipping into the drop zone, Monza should be bracing themselves for a real challenge here. Hit with a 2-1 loss when they last met Atalanta back on April 24th, they hold a nightmare record against La Dea. Losing each of their last four showdowns by an aggregate score of 12-3, it is no surprise that the Reds are pencilled in as a landslide underdog.

19:45 Juventus vs Parma

Eventually snatching what was a remarkable 4-4 stalemate away at defending champions Inter Milan last weekend, Juventus appear to be enjoying life under new boss Thiago Motta. While the Old Lady might still have a real uphill battle on their hands in the race to mount a serious Serie A title charge this season, the former Bologna manager has seen his squad suffer just a single defeat across any competition since opening up the new campaign. Desperate to make up some ground in the title chase on Wednesday night, attacking talisman Dusan Vlahovic could have a leading role to play here. Getting on the scoresheet away at the San Siro last weekend, the Serbian marksman has notched six goals in as many appearances across all competitions. Likewise, already registering six Serie A goals so far, the 24-year-old should be confident of extending on his decent flurry in Turin.

While Parma might have stormed their way to a Serie A return for this season, Fabio Pecchia’s side already find themselves at the heart of a bottom-three scrap. Although Wednesday’s guests might have sprung an almighty upset back on August 24th as they secured a 2-1 victory against Italian giants AC Milan, the Crusaders have failed to use that performance as a platform to build on. Signing off September with a 3-2 loss at home against Cagliari, the former Cremonese boss has not seen his squad win any of their previous seven Serie A appearances. With their recent issues underlined by another 3-2 defeat against Udinese last month, Parma will face another heavyweight challenge here. Hit with a 3-1 loss when they last travelled to Turin back in April 21st, it should also be noted that Pecchia’s side have collected just a single point from any of their last seven Serie A trips to Juventus.
