O’Dea signs for Tractor Boys on loan

Glasgow Celtic defender Darren O’Dea has joined Npower Championship outfit Ipswich Town on loan till January 2010. This is the 23 year old’s second loan stint with a Championship club- he had earlier played for Reading the opening half of the 2009/10 season.

O’Dea netted the opening goal in Celtic’s 2-0 Scottish Cup win over bitter rivals Rangers in March 2009. He is a two time SPL winner with the Hoops.

O’Dea was at Celtic when current Ipswich boss Roy Keane used to play for the club.

The Republic of Ireland international could make his debut for the Tractor Boys this weekend against Crystal Palace.
